Hey @Michael_Flores, thanks for the detailed report.
Your Project could see your machines and did try to start a local agent. Each attempt was stopped before reaching your Mac because Remote Control is not enabled for your Cursor team. The “local attach fails” response is misleading and should have explained the team setting instead. This is an issue we’re tracking.
Since you’re a team member, an admin will need to:
- Open Cursor Dashboard > Cloud Agents > Self-Hosted.
- Enable Remote Control for the team.
- On your Mac, confirm Remote Control is enabled under Settings > Agents.
- Ask the Project to try the local handoff again.

As a workaround, ask the cloud agent to push its branch, then check it out from your local repository:
git fetch && git switch feat/YOUR_BRANCH_NAME
