I’m thinking of renewing or upgrading my subscription this month, but I want to know: If any of you old plan users renewed or paid again recently, did Cursor automatically switch you to the new compute/token usage plan — or did you keep access to the old plan and its queue?
I don’t want to accidentally lose my spot on the old plan and get locked into the new usage-based billing if it’s not worth it for me right now.
If you renewed in the last few days/weeks, please share what happened!
Did you stay on the old plan with the slow queue?
Or did they migrate you to the new plan automatically?
Thanks a lot — this info will help me decide so I don’t waste my money.
Me too am curious to know if after renewing the old usage system (e.g. 500 req per month) will switch to rate limited usage. @Moundir177 , what happened in your case? @condor , can you clarify this please.
I just upgraded from a monthly to an annual plan and I got switched out of the old billing plan. Ive been trying to follow up with them over their support email but to no avail. If anybody from the cursor team is reading, I could really use your help here
Just FYI, switching from monthly to yearly automatically switches you onto the new billing plan and there’s no way to revert that. Customer Support does not budge. There is no option to opt-out anymore.
That is correct. Switching to annual billing automatically applies the new pricing structure. You can view the currently valid plans in the price list. Pricing · Cursor
I have a question regarding my subscription. I’m currently on an annual subscription with the old plan. When it automatically renews, will I remain on the old plan or be switched to the new plan? I’d appreciate your clarification on this. Thank you.
