I have a problem regarding the latest update. I want to know if when I buy CURSOR, if I use claude3.7 thinking it will deduct 1 or 2 credits, and if the slow mode will take away 1 credit from the 500? Isn’t it supposed to be free? I was about to buy the PRO version until I saw that it would take away 1 credit for using the slow version. So it would be like having WINDSURF. Help.
Pro plan will start the slow mode after using 500 credits, and those slow requests are free.
I use cursor as my working copilot and personal project helper, and sometimes I use it as a raw chatbox for learning. I only turn on the thinking when the task is very uncertain. By this frequency of usage, usually there are still about 50-100 credits left each month.
My question is more about the use of credits. Currently, I saw that even the slow mode consumes 1 credit. Does it consume it or is it only for the free credits? I want to use the slow mode mostly and the thinking mode when I want to use it, not always.
Hey, you don’t have the option to switch between slow and fast requests.
If you use the Claude Sonnet 3.7 Thinking model, it will cost 2 requests.
You can also enable the usage-based pricing option if you need additional fast requests.
You can check the pricing here:
And what about the applications that supposedly take away 1 credit? If I buy PRO, I use that one. Will they take away my points or not? I want to use only slow mode and occasionally switch to another model like that one that takes away 1 credit.
