Recent Update is a Productivity Killer

Been using cursor for some time now and it has greatly improved my productivity. However, the recent update is noticeably worse. My two big gripes are:

  • Unified agent chat is slower, dumber, and worse at following explicit instructions
  • Agent does not know how to give up when trying to edit notebook (.ipynb) files

It is difficult to pinpoint what is causing the issue with agent because there were so many changes bundled into one with the new release. I do not know if it is because of the dynamic model selection, the unification of chat with composer, or some other non-client facing factor that is related to how Agent works.

I do not think I am not the only one experiencing frustration with this release

It’s as if the agent lost half the IQ points it had 2 days ago. I feel like i am dealing with github copilot not cursor.

I felt the same way, not at all as amazing as when it first launched, and even though I checked claude 3.7 I still felt stupid

For me the autocomplete became completely unusable. It either doesn’t suggest anything or suggests me to delete the whole content of my notebook cell.
