Agent Mode has gotten noticeably slower over the last few updates. Tasks that used to be responsive now lag heavily, stall, or require multiple retries. In practice, this turns Agent Mode from a productivity boost into a bottleneck.
I’ve tested this across different projects and sessions, and the pattern is consistent. Whatever changed recently, performance clearly regressed. At this point, it’s fair to question whether the current pricing still makes sense if core functionality keeps degrading instead of improving.
Support hasn’t helped much either. Issues tend to get passed around without clear ownership or resolution, which only adds to the frustration when regressions like this persist.
I want to know whether others are seeing the same slowdown in Agent Mode, whether a specific update made things worse on your end, and what alternatives you’ve moved to if you’ve started stepping away from Cursor. This isn’t a rant — it’s a serious concern about product direction and reliability.
