Performance Drop in Agent – Recent Versions Getting Slower and Buggier

Hi Cursor team :waving_hand:

First of all, thank you for the amazing work on Cursor. I’ve been using it for a while now and have really appreciated the intelligence and capabilities of the Agent feature in particular.

However, I’ve noticed a significant drop in performance with the Agent in the latest versions. I believe there have been two updates just this past week, and strangely enough, the newer the version gets, the slower and more confusing the Agent becomes.

For example, today I tried to make some edits to a blade.php file, line by line. The Agent started processing but it took nearly 10 minutes just to figure out what to do with a single page. That kind of delay is exhausting and kills productivity. It felt like the Agent was overthinking every single step.

I’m not exactly sure why this is happening, but newer updates seem to introduce more bugs rather than solving the existing ones. It’s gotten to the point where updating the app feels like a risk instead of an improvement.

Another thing I really miss is the auto-approve feature that used to exist in earlier versions. Now, every single Agent action requires manual confirmation, which adds unnecessary friction to the workflow. Please consider bringing that back or at least allowing users to toggle it on/off.

:folded_hands: Kindly requesting the team to:

  1. Improve the performance and stability of the Agent — right now it’s too slow and unpredictable.
  2. Re-enable the auto-approve feature for smoother experience.

I know you’re all doing brilliant work, and I’m truly grateful for this powerful tool. Just hoping the user experience will continue to be a top priority moving forward.

Thanks again and keep up the great work! :flexed_biceps:
