Recent Updates Apply / Reject Functionality? 03.12.24

I’m quite novice at programing but I have successfully built a mpv product I am about to launch for my niche sector in agriculture. I have created a mobile app with react native and expo solely by natural language with no experience in JavaScript, typescript, react or anything. (But I ran ubuntu linux gnu in university). My use of the Cursor.ai code editor is a paradigm shift for me, and my process is very iterative, and not super efficient, as often the suggestions I apply have ancillary effects of breaking other items, so I often copy in the faulty code, then go back to the original prompt and just say Edit: (and explain what it broke)

In short the recent update, has created the apply and reject features to be quite buggy and is the only thing that hinders my progress. Can anyone suggest a version before these bugs may have been caused? Thank you.

Hey,

That screenshot definitely looks a bit strange.
Can you confirm are you using chat or composer here?

Thanks

Hi there, I use chat primarily, as again, brand new to programming. I have to make incremental changes, only with natural language prompts - its quite a bit of back and forth dialog with the chat primarily.

My main challenge is that once I apply the suggested code once, it seems to auto save the file and on the code box top right corner, it only has the ability to reapply. Where as before there was reject, copy, ask etc.

It will not allow me to reject the code like it did before, there is no ‘ask’ to reference the code in the chat either. Also it seems to auto save and update my work immediate (even though I have all the auto save features off, triple checked that). If I need to reject, then I have to do this line by line. This started to happen about a week ago.

I hope these issues are resolved, Cursor has been a paradigm shift for me, but is basically unusable currently. Thanks for your help!
