[remote-ssh] Cannot connect to remote machine with failed to create hard link: File exists

Describe the Bug

Sometimes when trying to connect to a remote machine using SSH I’m getting the following error. Looks like the script that cursor is executing does not clean up the lock file properly

2025-08-04 21:47:08.669 [info] (ssh_tunnel) stderr: ln: failed to create hard link '/tmp/cursor-remote-lock.e431f46578fbcd24195663a54f878ac2': File exists

Steps to Reproduce

  • Try to connect to remote machine using SSH
  • Sometimes it fails
