Hey - I need a definitive clear answer on:
Did MS block Cursor from using Remote Tunnels in Cursor? or not?
subquestion: How do you get it to work if not? I tried reinstalling the extension - the Remote Explorer works as it sees the server… so that MS extension wasn’t blocked clearly… And usually when I have a websocket issue, I reinstall and or restart the VS server and it works (w VS Code vanilla)…
So…
My linux remote works fine with VS Code vanilla on desktop and via web, and went to try this using my paid Cursor account with Cursor on the same machine I have VS Code installed and where it accessed the remote easily, Cursor fails with web socket issues and the classic:
Error installing server: error requesting https://update.code.visualstudio.com/commit:ae378be9dc2f5f1a6a1a220c6e25f9f03c8d4e10/server-linux-x64/stable: 404 Not Found
I tried using .45 of Cursor and tried older versions of the Remote Tunnels extension, same errors…
I would be grateful for a support person to reply quickly to a paid user of Cursor here…
thanks,
David
