hii, it seems that (with the latest update?) the “Restore to checkpoint” functionality has been removed.

What’s the new way to achieve the same outcome?

Hover over a previous message sent → The “Revert checkpoint” option is missing

To have the option to revert to previous checkpoint

Hi @CK24, Thanks for the report. Nothing was removed. Restore Checkpoint is still in 3.15.6: hover over one of your own earlier messages, and it appears at the bottom right. It only shows for turns where the agent actually applied file changes.

That said, what you’re seeing isn’t intended behavior. In longer or reopened chats, the option often fails to appear on earlier messages, even when the checkpoint is there. This is an issue we’re tracking.

Two things that usually bring it back:

  1. Scroll up through the whole chat so the older turns finish loading, then hover the earlier message again.
  2. Send any short message in the same chat.

To recover a file while it’s missing, Cmd+Shift+P then Local History: Find Entry to Restore works independently of checkpoints.
