Just to clarify, I really like Cursor and I am happy with every update and bug fix.
However, allowing the terminal to run without proper supervision can lead to serious disasters.
Databases can be deleted, local data can be lost, and there is no way to recover it.
Git does not track or protect against this kind of damage.
Hey, thanks for the report. The team is aware of this issue. A few users have reported that terminal commands are ignoring confirmation settings after recent updates.
To help us dig in, can you share a screenshot of your terminal settings:
Cursor Settings > Agents > Terminal Commands (the section with Auto-run and Allowed Commands)
As a temporary workaround while we investigate, you can try reloading the window CTRL + R or rolling back to a previous version via Download · Cursor if this is blocking your work.
I get that this is really annoying. Terminal security is critical. Send over that info and I’ll pass it to the team so they can prioritize it.
