With it off, is the data that is stored associated with our accounts? Is it deletable on request?

How much is a “small amount of code”; it appear when running in codebase mode that it scans the entire codebase; could be hundreds of files? Thousands of files? Millions of lines of code? What is “small”? 5 lines? 1000 lines? 100000? Relative? And how are those lines chosen?

Essentially whatever makes it into the prompt for the AI; think around 1k lines per request.

Is there any way to select certain files as inaccessible?

Soon! Thinking a .cursorignore file would be good, but let me know if you have opinions here.

And I think the ide should default to local mode rather than require opt in.

Noted, at the very least, we should probably make this a modal when you onboard.
