It’s hard not to believe that when the going get tough the llm don’t get going.
I swear, when the code started becoming challenging and o4 started dragging its feet it didn’t want to play anymore. After requesting that it follow my instruction without becoming overly creative and coming up with unwanted solutions it decided to call it quits. I kid you not. The Service Unavailable (Request ID: f6e3b10e-85d2-4c23-9212-5c8903819ae9) popped up right after. I mean the timing was just spectacular. Am I over-anthropomorphizing this?
What you describe could be one of many possible technical reasons of what happened. AIs are not really intelligent so no they do not call it quits. They may not respond sometimes to abuse over a certain level or more likely there was a technical issue that caused the bug, and likely just temporary glitch.
Did this happen on a long chat, or is it still happening on new chat as well?
