Hi. I created a shortcut to the Cursor .exe (on Windows 11 Home), and then appended the “–default-data-dir” arg in the properties “Target” box, with a custom folder location.
Then when I opened Cursor, it was as if all my extensions had disappeared - I figure as it no longer references the correct default data dir.
I have tried removing the appended location, tried the original Cursor.exe instead of the shortcut, etc. But I can not get my Cursor IDE to refind all my user extensions etc. It looks almost now like a fresh install.
Can someone help this idiot set the default-data-dir back to the correct location and hopefully see all my settings and extensions again.
p.s. I tried using the “AppData-Roaming-Cursor” location, and I also tried using the “.cursor” location…but no luck.
