ShadowWorkSpaceQuestion

I’m excited about the possibilities of combining Cursor Tab and GitHub Copilot in the Cursor IDE. I understand that both AI models can potentially work together to enhance my coding experience.

However, I’m seeking more clarity on how to best leverage this integration. Specifically, I’d like to understand:

Shadow Workspace Interaction: How exactly do Cursor Tab and Copilot interact within the shadow workspace?
Does the shadow workspace truly enable them to collaborate and exchange information, or do they operate more independently?

Optimal Configuration: Are there specific settings or configurations I should consider to maximize the benefits of both tools? I’m particularly interested in ensuring that my Copilot subscription, with its 4o capabilities, is being fully utilized alongside Cursor Tab.

I appreciate your insights on these questions. It would be immensely helpful to gain a deeper understanding of how to harness the full potential of both AI assistants within the Cursor IDE.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

I am also interested in the cursor.general.enable ShadowWorkspace option, as it says AI features use it to refine code.

I rather have my code more refined, of course I am a gentleman.

and using more Memory for that seems fair, but I really don’t find anything about it and will likely test, but I wish I could learn something about it.

Update: after looking in the forum and discord, found on the good old interweb :

seems nice !

The only thing that reminds us of skynet singularity from Sci-fi is :

Runnability : the AIs should be able to run their code and see the output.

But I am likely more on the robots/Ai side than the humans.
