Grok Bot was working great yesterday to manage my Shopify store and send customer emails. That broke today because of Shopify “veryify Human” check. Grok Bot is a perfect fit for small businesses but we need clean connections into our Shopify Merchant accounts.

You’re right about the cause: the agent computer’s browser is getting flagged by Shopify’s anti-bot check, and a proper connection into your Shopify merchant account is the right fix rather than fighting the browser. The team is looking at a Shopify connector for Grok Bot!
In the meantime, if you’re comfortable with a bit of setup, Grok Bot can use custom MCP servers (Settings > Plugins). Shopify lets you create a custom app in your store admin with an Admin API access token, and there are community Shopify Admin MCP servers that take that token. That path talks to Shopify’s API directly, so it isn’t affected by the browser check.
Colin, Thanks for the reply. I will give my Grok Bot your reply to get some help on implementation. The use case with Shopify and Grok Bot is like a match made in heaven! I absolutely loved seeing the workflows Grok Bot could do for me in running a store before I ran into my issue. This is a game changer for small business! -Wes
Cursor-AI did not advise going the MCP route …from Cursor-AI “Grok Bot cannot run the usual community Admin MCP locally. ShopMCP is a third party in front of a live store.” A true Shopify Connector sounds like the best solution.
I worked with my Grok Bot to get a workaround until an official Shopify plugin/connector is available. Sadly our workaround is failing and so I posted another ticket on the issue.Grok Bot secrets are wiped overnight
