recently purchased Cursor Business, but am now blocked by not being compatible with mobile device management platform Kandji.
Context:
Our company is looking to deploy the Cursor app via our internal App Store using the Kandji MDM platform, as our users do not have local admin access. To achieve this, we need a silent installer to streamline deployment across our organization.
We’ve consulted with Kandji, but they suggested reaching out here for assistance. Implementing this feature would allow us to expand Cursor’s use within our company and likely across other businesses with similar MDM requirements.
Could you assist with providing a silent installer or guide us on how to set it up?
Hi @deanrie and Cursor Team,
We sent an email back in September 2024 and another one just recently, but we are not getting any replies. We still want to continue to try to integrate Cursor into our Kandji MDM.
How can we make this happen?
Thanks!
Curious if there’s any movement on this? My org has been considering rolling out Cursor to a wider audience and not being able to control the install silently is a big problem for us. Enough that we’re considering going with VSCode w/ GitHub Copiliot instead. Given the cost for the enterprise tier it’s quite shocking that I can’t install for all users on a system or in an automated way, it’s a pretty basic feature for windows installs.
+1 for getting Cursor integrated into Kandji. My team uses Cursor and the org requires Kandji. Cursor sometimes fails to update due to Kandji since it’s not currently supported.
I can’t give it a URL in Kandji, which is why I’m asking and when I look at the new analytics dashboard Cursor has launched, I can see people are using older versions:
