Getting approval at our company for Cursor | Third Party Risk Management Requests | Ignored by Cursor support
Hi All,
Some background:
I am a member of an IT Infrastructure team at a medium sized financial institution in a highly regulated state. We are held to a high stand of requirements both internally, and via annual or semi annual reviews from governmental and private instituions (KPMG, FDIC, NYDFS, etc). As a result, our InfoSec and Risk Management teams put all applications + the companies that make them through a vetting process before we enter into any agreements with them.
The document requests we ask for include proof of insurance, copy of W9, and copy of SOC-2 audit results. I’ve reached out for this information many times across the last 5-6 months, and I’ve been completely ignored by both Support, and the CEO when he directly emailed me after I canceled my personal account. Due to radio silence from Cursor, we’ve been unable to purchase and deploy. It’s worth noting that with the 60+ various software vendors we use and pay, they have all been able to provide documentation that satisfies these requirements from our Risk team, so I do not believe it’s an out of pocket request.
Our goal was to establish a handful of Business licenses as a starting point, and expand Cursor across our IT teams as exposure to the product matured. In my opinion, Cursor is an absolute game changing product, one I’ve thoroughly enjoyed using on my personal devices. I feel the pain of not having it at work every day, and just want to get past this administrative hurdle. It’s has been frustrating being ghosted by Cursor support, so I’m opening this thread here in hopes it may receive some attention and get the process moving.
Thanks for reading.
