Slack channel context isn't passed to the Cursor background agent

Describe the Bug

I followed the instructions on the Slack integration documentation. I connected Cursor properly to our Github. I have a test thread where I describe a simple issue about an icon color. I invoke the command @cursor please fix. background agent seems to only get the “please fix” and nothing else from the Slack thread. It just want to upgrade node.

Steps to Reproduce

Install Cursor to Slack
Integrate Github
Create net new public channel for testing
Write the message “We really need to fix the color of the home icon in the navbar. It should be the primary color.”
Then write “@Cursor make it happen”.

Cursor finds a new thing to fix that has nothing to do with updating the icon color.

Expected Behavior

The full slack context thread is being consumed by the background agent before it decides what to do.
