I have unlinked my slack account, still getting the message
I have relinked my account, still getting the message
The only thing that has silenced it has been uninstalling the app which is big sad
Steps to Reproduce
I’m not sure what triggered it. I started a new chat in the slack app, sent a prompt to make a change in one of our repos, and it suddenly it just kept spamming me. I created a new chat hoping the old one would stop but it kept sending and the new chat also started spamming this message. Every chat I made would spam it and the old ones kept spamming too
Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known bug in the Slack integration. The account linking message gets sent without any limits, and under certain conditions it starts spamming every channel.
The team is aware of the issue. Until a fix is released, the only workaround, like you found, is to remove the app from Slack.
A couple questions that will help us diagnose this faster:
When you click “Link Account” in Slack and go through auth, does it complete successfully? Do you see confirmation that the account is linked?
After you link it again, does the first message in the channel also trigger the spam, or does it work normally for a while?

It does successfully complete if I do it in slack. I’m also able to start a new chat and get a settings response which shows it connected. I can then unlink from there and that appears to be successful as well but the message was still being spammed regardless of link status

it did trigger it. This just started today for me but was fine up until I reported (give or take an hour). It would be triggered by any chat prompt. Even a “settings” while unlinked (or linked). This would also trigger a new chat storm while all the other chats were simultaneously storming
