Slow Request counter not increasing after hitting 500-request limit

When you reach the 500-request limit (Premium Models), you automatically switch to Slow Requests — at least that’s what I understand from the documentation:

Slow requests automatically activate when you run out of normal requests. These requests are processed at a lower priority, meaning they are slower and you may experience longer delays compared to normal requests.

Pro and Business plans include 500 requests per month. When you run out of included requests, you have two options:

  1. Enable usage-based pricing to continue using models at their standard request costs
  2. Continue using models with slow requests, which may experience delays as paying users are prioritized

It’s been a day since I hit the 500-request limit, and I’ve made new requests since then, but I don’t see the slow request counter increasing:

Why isn’t the counter increasing?

I assume these requests I’m making aren’t being billed, right? I have “Enable usage-based pricing” turned off.

You are not being billed, but this counter is not for slow requests, it is for the free models, im pretty sure it is no longer relevant, if im not mistaken.

There is no slow request counter on the Cursor website. And you are not charged for slow request usage.

For Usage-based pricing, see in your screenshot “Enable usage-based pricing” there is a ON/OFF toggle on the right.

More info is at the documentation:

You need to wait 20days as shown above “Requests will refresh in 20 days”. slow requests are not counted.
