Solid circle indicator in tabs for modified files no longer there in AI edits?

I’m not sure if this is due to the update to 0.46, or maybe the update modified some setting or something.

But it used to be that when the AI edited files, you would see that solid circle indicator in the file tab that indicated that the file had been modified. But, I no longer see this.

Now when I have a bunch of files open, I’m not sure which were modified by the agent. Also I don’t see the “Accept All” button for changes anymore, I didn’t tend to use the button anyway but seeing it helped let me know the AI was done making changes.

When the AI makes changes now, is it automatically saving the file even before I hit “Accept” for changes to that file? Is that why the solid circle indicator isn’t in the tab anymore? I would appreciate someone letting me know the details of how these file edits are working now.

Is there a way to have it behave like it used to? So I can see which files the AI has modified.

Hey, Cursor automatically saves changes, so you no longer need to save them manually. You just need to accept or reject them. Cursor also still opens new tabs for modified files, so you’ll know which ones have changed.

OK thanks.

Is there any sort of setting to have it the way it was? Because I reject the majority of changes, and I think most others do as well. So I would prefer it didn’t automatically save.

Also, I tend to have a number of other tabs open. That weren’t edited by the AI. So it’s hard for me to tell which files have been changed, I have to go through them one by them.

If there is no setting to have the behavior like it was because, could that option be a feature in future version perhaps? Thank you.

100%. This is why I wasn’t using the competition. I loved that I could keep tabs open and cursor would show circles next to them letting me know which ones were updated. Now I have to either click through each one or look at the sidebar scrolling up to see which files were updated and click them. It’s SUPER annoying.
