Both Cursor rules and general ones

could you share a bit more so this can be analyzed and perhaps addresssed.
- Was the Cursor rule loaded and shown in chat?
- Is it occuring regularly, or just sometimes?
- Was that at begin of fresh chat? or when chat is already longer?
- What was the token count of that chat (see the 3 dots at bottom right end of chat message)
- Did you use the thinking model (brain icon) or the regular one?
If you can reproduce it, it would help to post here the Request ID (for this you would need to turn off privacy mode off for this one request so Cursor staff can see the request details and what happens)
In general there are a few reasons why this may happen, but if its a bigger issue depends really on the actual chat detalis
- AI does sometimes hallucinate and ignore rules or instructions.
- Newer hybrid reasoning models like Claude 4 Sonnet sometimes mistake details for facts (where they are wrong actually) and reason with those mistakes, which causes wrong output.
With more info the Cursor team could see if this is AI behavior issue or an actual bug that could be solved from their side.

- I dont see it in the chat
- It constantly repeats
- It started occurring in one chat but remained in a new chat too
- sorry, I dont see neither token count nor brain icon. I used Sonnet 4
Is that Sonnet 4 bug?
