it’s really annoying that nowadays sonnet model uses up WAY more than before, like my pro limit will finish within a day instead lasting for a month. and using auto is just.. dumb sometimes, i prefer sonnet for edits and etc.. but losing $20 for only 1 day is crazy! missed how it was before with the 500 tokens and then its just “slow” tokens i know that costed them a lot but its way better than what’s currently we have now, might look into some alternatives if my limit starts to “finish” within a day.

Cursor used to count requests but now consumption of tokens and models counts.
With request based pricing the token consumption was not shown and may have seemed like it is less but the actual consumption has not changed as much.
Note that any context attached to chat like files, rules, MCPs,.. are consuming tokens which may use up your plan faster.
You can find the details in your Dashboard > Usage as summary.
