Sub agent description

When asking Cursor to create sub agents, the main agent cannot specify the displayed description / label of the launched sub agents. This is not convenient when asking it to specific tasks.

It seems Cursor can specify 2 fields: description and prompt, but the description field is ignored in the UI and replaced by some kind of automatic summarizing of the task from the prompt.

For instance, when asking the agent to launch 5 sub agents on a similar task but not the same, the description is often the same in the main thread because the prompts are similar.

Hey @adjerbetian!

Thanks for the detailed report and screenshots. The description field on the Task tool isn’t currently used as the displayed label in the thread, and it never has been. The UI auto-generates a title from the sub-agent’s prompt, which is why similar prompts produce identical or hard-to-differentiate labels.

It’s worth calling out to the team. I’ll pass it along!
