Hey, yes, this model is also free like the deepseek v3 version. According to the benchmarks, this model shows good results and outperforms deepseek r1.

Great! In that case I’ll uncheck deekseek-v3. Keeping old versions is starting to become quite confusing and floods the list.

Why was the model named ‘deepseek-v3.1’ instead of something like ‘deepseek-v3-0324’ that’s more in line with the actual name of the model? Why do we keep complicating things?

Seems to work in agent mode, are we sure this is free? It would be great to have a cheap/free agentic model.
Having a model of this quality for free is huge.
Based on techniques like Generalist Reward Modeling (GRM) and Self-Principled Critique Tuning (SPCT) introduced in their newest paper, R2 will likely be a beast!
