but you are not completely wrong, the api need pay. only the web interface is free as in free beer.

If you’re using custom api, please uncheck all the models and add your own model, then it should work fine. Free or paid all can use custom api.

Apparently fireworks - the provider cursor uses - ahs deployed the new deepseek. I think now just cursor side of things are pending.

The site you are referring to is not DeepSeek official but a bogus scam site. There is literally “DeepSeek.ai is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to DeepSeek.com in any way.” in the footer of that website.
