Thanks for the continuous updates — the new compact model selection is a nice improvement for many users who don’t switch model frequently.
However, compared to the previous version, this change makes certain workflows more cumbersome. In my case, I frequently switch between Opus with thinking and Opus without thinking. With the new UI, this now requires clicking Edit and then toggling the thinking option each time, whereas previously I could switch directly between two separate models in a single list. To be honest, previous version, which had a list of models with a thinking UI, was a perfect design for me.
Would it be possible to provide a setting that allows users to choose between the new compact model selection mode and a full model list similar to the previous version, where all variants are shown explicitly?
Alternatively, it would also be very helpful to have a customizable shortcut or pinned model list, where users can select a few frequently used model variants (for example, different thinking modes of the same model) and keep them readily accessible for quick switching.
This would make it easier to accommodate different workflows and personal preferences.
