If I got to the agents windows → Settings → Agents → Context and Tools, the “Sync Skills for Cloud Agents” settings disabled with a “Cursor is still starting up. Try again in a moment.” hint.
It’s showing this since I first saw the setting yesterday, so just waiting hasn’t made any difference. I’ve also try restarting cursor, which also didn’t work.
That’s an option that I would really like to enable!
hi @Politta Sorry about this… The setting is being shown before the underlying sync capability is available for your account, so the “Cursor is still starting up” message is misleading.
This is an issue we’re tracking. There is not a local setting that will unblock the switch right now.
As a temporary workaround, place any non-sensitive, repository-specific skills under .cursor/skills/ or .agents/skills/ in the repository. Cloud Agents can load those project-level skills from the repo. This does not replace global user-level sync, but it should unblock skills needed for a particular project.

Does this stop you from using Cursor?
Yes - Cursor is unusable
Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor
No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Thanks for the report. The “Sync Skills for Cloud Agents” switch should now be enabled for your account. The setting was showing up before the capability behind it had been turned on for everyone, which is why the “still starting up” message never went away no matter how long you waited.
To pick it up, fully quit Cursor and reopen it (a window reload isn’t enough), then check Agents → Settings → Context and Tools again.
If it’s still greyed out after that, let me know what the hover text says now and I’ll take another look.
Thanks for checking, and sorry for the back and forth. That setting is now only shown on versions where the sync itself works, and that starts with 3.19.10. You’re on 3.19.7, which is why it’s gone from the list rather than greyed out.
Could you update to the latest Nightly (Cursor → Check for Updates, or grab the current Nightly build), then fully quit and reopen Cursor? After that, Agents → Settings → Context and Tools should show “Sync Skills for Cloud Agents” again, and the switch should be clickable.
If it’s still missing or greyed out on 3.19.10 or later, send me your version info again and I’ll take another look.
