Bug Report: Tab Key Autocompletion Unavailable in Markdown (i use for mermaid and README)

Issue Description

The Tab key’s autocompletion feature is not available in Markdown, including Markdown cells in Jupyter Notebooks. It worked as expected last week but now fails to trigger suggestions. Code block in Markdown also does not work. But no problem in .py file.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Cursor editor

  2. Create or open a Markdown file or a Jupyter Notebook

  3. Switch to a Markdown cell or file and start typing

  4. Press Tab to invoke autocompletion

  5. Observe that no completion suggestions appear and Tab simply inserts a tab character or spaces
