Tab unload/reload when switching

Describe the Bug

When switch tabs the current tab unloads & it loads in the other chat tab (already existing, not new) & any current tasking going on in that tab will be killed (grepping, docker builds , etc)

Expected Behavior

When switching the chat shouldn’t load in and should already be preexisiting

Hey, thanks for the report! It looks like a nasty issue: switching tabs triggers unexpected reloads and kills running processes.

It’s likely tied to a recent update, v1.8.0 is a nightly build and can be less stable.

What to try:

  • Fully restart Cursor and see if the issue goes away when switching tabs
