I know Im not the first to post about this, but setting aside hallucinations, etc with the LLMs, the biggest issue in the Cursor IDE right now is terminal commands not running. Breaks what otherwise is a solid flow. Would be great if every command ran every time, and the agent understood the context, especially with the inevitable errors. Having to ask it to re run the command, copy paste, errors, etc gums things up. First world problems (we can talk to a machine and it builds stuff for us!!)

Steps to Reproduce

Happens from time to time, cant identify what causes the error to occur.

Expected Behavior

Terminal should run automatically!

Hey, could you provide more details? Which commands are not running? What happens when a command doesn’t run, does the terminal get stuck, or what? Does this also happen in a new chat? Could you share the request ID? First, you’ll need to disable privacy mode.

Appreciate the reply. There doesnt appear to be rhyme or reason to the commands that fail. Essentially each instance it happens it appears the command was ‘run’ but nothing happens, I usually have to stop it and ask it to start again. If i dont do that, it otherwise hangs. Ive been working in multiple projects over the past week, using a variety of LLMs, and it appears to happen at random, across all those projects, no matter the LLM in use. And yes, if I start a new chat it can happen there too.
