πŸ”§ Terminal Freezes with Inverted Colors When Using SSH + Docker in Cursor on Windows

Describe the Bug

When using Cursor on Windows, connected via SSH to Ubuntu, and operating inside a Docker container, the integrated terminal occasionally becomes unresponsive and flashes with a white (inverted) background β€” as shown in the attached screenshot. This causes the terminal to freeze and prevents any further command input.

Steps to Reproduce

On Windows, open Cursor

Connect to a remote Ubuntu machine via SSH

Enter a Docker container (e.g., docker exec -it container-name bash)

Run any command (e.g., pwd && ls -la)

Occasionally, the terminal flashes white and becomes unresponsive

Expected Behavior

The terminal should work normally and remain responsive, without flashing or freezing.

Operating System

Windows 10/11
Linux

Current Cursor Version (Menu β†’ About Cursor β†’ Copy)

I can’t find it, but it should be the latest version

Additional Information

This issue seems to occur more frequently after running commands in Docker via SSH

Restarting the terminal or restarting Cursor sometimes resolves it

It makes Cursor unreliable for container-based remote development

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable
