Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report! This is a known terminal regression in recent 1.7.x versions.

Try enabling the Legacy Terminal Tool:

  • Go to Cursor Settings > Chat > Inline Editing & Terminal
  • Enable “Legacy Terminal Tool”
  • Restart Cursor
  • Test with the agent again

This workaround has helped many users with similar terminal stalling. Let me know if it helps.

thanks for answer. First time(20-30 prompts) i had no stalls. But now still have them even with “Legacy Terminal Tool” enabled.

Thanks for the info. Is this happening in a new chat? Did you also restart Cursor?

restarting doesn’t help. Creating a new agent - aswell

Thanks for the info, we’ll investigate. Could you share a screenshot and the request ID? To start, you’ll need to turn off Privacy Mode.

By the way, agent spawning artifacts into console like ‘q’ when cancels terminal command(when doesn’t stall). And sometimes executes code with this ‘q’ at the start(like “qpython”) → sees errors and changes course of plan execution. 16cf773b-2d4d-4ca0-86f7-41bc79aacf98
