After changing the “Text Size” setting in the Agents settings, the font size in the chat window does not change. I ensured that the change is reflected in settings.json and tried restarting Cursor.
Steps to Reproduce
Change Text Size from default to Large or Extra Large
This is a known regression, not something wrong with your setup. The Agents > Text Size value still saves to settings.json, but the chat transcript no longer reads it, so the text stays at the default size. It affects everyone on 3.10.17 and later, and it’s logged with our desktop team with priority recently raised.
Until the fix ships, the only reliable workaround is zooming the whole window by using Ctrl and + or Ctrl and - to zoom in or out (Ctrl and 0 resets)
The tradeoff is that it scales the editor, sidebar, and terminal too. One older tip you may see, toggling Text Size to another value and back, will not help here, since the setting is not being read at all right now.
Confirming this is still broken for me as well — and it’s actively hurting to use.
Agents → Text Size was already on Large; I set it to Extra Large. The value saves, but the agent chat transcript does not change size. Text stays tiny.
Global zoom (Ctrl/Cmd + =/-) is not an acceptable workaround: I need explorer, editor, and terminal at their current sizes. Only the agent panel is unreadable.
Please prioritize restoring cursor.composer.textSizeScale / Agents → Text Size for the chat transcript. Tiny agent text is an accessibility / eye-strain issue, not a cosmetic preference.
