I was surprised I maxed my API usage. Mainly because that ring is barely full. It took 3 different screens and some help from Composer to figure it all out.
So your UI folks should go clean that all up. What would really help is making that little ring show the % used of the current model (Opus 4.7) and not always your % of the total since that includes a significant “auto” allotment.
Hey, thanks for the specific feedback, this framing is helpful.
I agree the current ring rolls everything into a single number, and that can hide cases where a specific model (Opus, for example) is already close to its limit while the overall total still looks fine. I’ll pass along the request for per-model display in the ring. I can’t share a timeline or promise an implementation yet, but I’ll make sure the feedback is recorded.
For now, a more detailed per-model breakdown is available on https://cursor.com/dashboard under Manage Subscription / Usage. It’s not as convenient as in the IDE, but it gives an accurate picture when you switch models.
Thanks for taking the time and passing the request along. Yes, I spent a lot of time on this yesterday and am certainly familiar with the two windows in the User Account screen.
For something like Composer 2, it does seem to be agent specific. For other things, it is certainly not clear.
IMO, Auto - shows your entire quota, specific models should show the model quota. Mouse over of the ring should let you know which bucket it is displaying.
edit: if you are paying for extra quota and set a spend limit, the ring should show % of spend limit used.
