Hey, thanks for the report.

We’ll need a bit more info to debug:

  1. Cursor version: Menu → About Cursor → Copy
  2. OS: Windows, Mac, or Linux?
  3. When it happens:
    • Does it happen every time you open Cursor, or only after certain actions?
    • Is it only with a specific project, or with all projects?
    • About how many files are usually in the project?

Temporary workaround:

  • Try starting a new chat
  • If it gets stuck on startup, try CMD/CTRL + Shift + P → “Developer: Reload Window”

If it keeps happening and Cursor crashes, we’ll need the Request ID (Chat context menu → Copy Request ID) so we can investigate further.
