The rules option in the @ menu of the chat dialog box is missing

Describe the Bug

When I upgraded to the latest version, I found that the rules option in the @ menu of the chat dialog box was missing, And I found that the manually added rule I previously added showed ‘may never be used’.
I thought the official removed the manual specification feature, but the ‘apply manually’ option still exists when adding rules.
So how should I specify the use of a certain rule in the new version? Please help me, thank you all

Steps to Reproduce

Simply use the @ character in the chat box

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. The @Rules option was intentionally removed from the @ menu in Cursor 2.0 as part of a UI update.

To use rules in chat now:

  • Add them to the chat context via @Files instead of @Rules

The “may never be used” warning for rules set to “apply manually” means those rules won’t be applied automatically until you explicitly add them to the context with @Files.

Let me know if this helps.

thank you
