Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

I keep this this message although already I installed up to current version available on download page.

I am on ubuntu 24, cursor is now at 1.26.

Also, I want to mention that it is rather more annoying in linux because the install process is not just click away.

Steps to Reproduce

open it.

Expected Behavior

update alert should be disableable on setting. ( or you should code it right)

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue
