Does anyone has any idea why thinking mode is removed for claude models? I don’t see it anymore
Hi, please have a look at the Models page below and at the Model selection in Agent/Chat. You will see that several models have a brain icon, that means thinking.
@deanrie could this be better explained or Thinking added back? An icon should not replace text in UX. Icons that are not universal (brain = smart, not thinking) are best to be used with text or replaced by text. This is a point that has been asked a few too many times to be just a rare misunderstanding.

Hi thanks for the clarification (image). It happens that we all misunderstand parts of questions or answers. With incomplete reports its hard to tell what the cause is, so I try to mention most often occuring causes.
Please have a look in the Cursor Settings → Models and enable the thinking models there if they are not enabled. They should be there. If they arent, go tot he above models page and click the copy icon next to model to copy the model name and add it into your Cursor models list.
