"This is a very outdated version of cursor" message still popping up in newly installed update ide - also other bad related bugs/design regressions

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I just updated because the “this is a very outdated version of cursor” message starting coming for me tonight. Now that i’m working in the updated version I am still seeing that message.
Also i still get the “‘restart’ or ‘quit’” message at random when booting up - its sometimes bypass-able yet annoying , at times will let me use the ide, at other times will glitch out when i try to click my repo convos.

Also

No option to ctrl+c to copy snippets in the chat column anymore?
No longer a turn-response three-dot menu with a copy option anymore?
No longer window organization options so i can put the columns in the order that i want them (editor settings ‘open’ button does nothing)?

Steps to Reproduce

I open cursor, I try to use it

Expected Behavior

That message shouldn’t be coming up anymore now that im using the latest updated version.

Should be able to boot cursor without rolling the dice on whether ill get the ‘restart or quit’ dialog popup.

Should be able to have some avenue of copying chat responses

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey there.

2.6.22 is far from the latest version of Cursor! Try downloading 3.5 from the downloads page!

it says i was half on 2.6.22 and half on 3.5, after installing 3.5 and restarting my computer i was using my usual taskbar shortcut to open cursor where I was experiencing the issues; the 3.5 install didnt deprecate 2.6.22 so i had to delete both and reinstall 3.5 to solve
