Hello,
Is there a tax number for this company/invoices? I bought the pro version and I need a tax number to register the invoice.
Hello,
Is there a tax number for this company/invoices? I bought the pro version and I need a tax number to register the invoice.
Should I ask for refund since nobody is capable to provide tax number?
Hey @joseph
Please send an email to hi@cursor.com.
Already sent 3 emails, but I added 1 more right now, is anyone reading those emails?
The company is not based in the EU, so there’s no need for TIN/VAT number. If you’re in the EU joseph, just book keep this as any other purchase from outside EU with zero VAT.
You’re wrong, the TIN number is still needed. It’s not a VAT number, but a fiscal number, we need that for first time we register an invoice from a company that we didn’t had invoice before. I have services from a lot of US companies, they all provided that (supermaven, Visiliy, google and so on) Still don’t understand what is so complicated.
Alright. I guess your specific system or book keeping laws in your country require it or something? I have never used it.
Not sure why they won’t provide it either, should be easy I guess. Most likely they have 10,000+ unread emails and no employee to take care of that inbox.
No online search for that? When I need VAT numbers in EU, most countries have a searchable database so you can look it up yourself.
Nope, for the US that data is not public, unfortunately, tried to scrape the internet in the past few days, but didn’t found anything(for a few companies this data is public, but seems that is only for big companies). I understand that there is only on email address you can contact them, so I can get it that they have thousands of emails, but would be helpful to have a separate address for payments/invoices issues or something similar. Just imagine that tomorrow they can not process payments for VISA or something like that, you have no choice but just to take a shit on their product.
Hi @deanrie can you provide some help here? Other then send emails? Maybe read one of those emails I sent?
I reported this, let me know later.
still nothing, almost a month, for something, that in most cases should be public.
also need this urgently, I need to declare monthly
Asked the team. Let me know if you don’t receive one in the email address associated with your account by Tuesday.
For what is worth, I asked the same exact thing becuase I would have the exact same need to pay for the pro service through my research funds (I am an academic). Never received an answer. This is actually keeping me from buying the pro version
Per the US IRS, TIN=taxpayer ID
Per “nerdwallet”:
Yes, a business tax ID number is also known as an employer identification number, or EIN.
Clicking “company” at the footer of the Cursor.com page, navigates to anysphere.inc. On their “careers” page, they list a location in San Francisco, so it’s likely a US company and they should have a TIN or EIN.
