Describe the Bug

In cursor IDE, on the Chats sidebar, when you right click the chat name at the top, then click ‘rename chat’, the chat title bar becomes incredibly narrow making it hard to see what you’re typing.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. right click chat title
  2. click Rename Chat
  3. observe tiny text field

Expected Behavior

the chat name should still show the full chat name text whilst you rename it

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report and the screenshot. I can see that narrow strip instead of the normal input field when you use Rename Chat.

This is a known issue with how the rename field renders in the Chats sidebar, and we’re tracking it. I can’t share an exact timeline yet, but I’ll post an update here when I have one.

As a temporary workaround, you can type the new name “blind” and press Enter. The input still works, it’s just visually collapsed. Or try renaming the chat with the sidebar expanded, if that helps. Let me know if either option doesn’t work.
