Tons of problems recently

Describe the Bug

Didn’t want to open a bunch of tickets, but I’m running into tons of problems with Cursor the past few days.

  • Model failures (Gemini models give “restricted content” errors, OpenAI “unable to reach model provider”, Grok does nothing, only Claude works but I ran out of requests for it)
  • Terminal errors in chat (either hangs, or nothing at all with “terminal tool is not working right now”)
  • Remote WSL disconnects regularly and freezes entire app

Overall, combined these errors have made Cursor unusable.

Steps to Reproduce

Not sure… just use it lol?

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Still having this problem… no response?

I literally can’t get any work done using cursor. I’ve stuck with you guys for a long time never complaining through the growth pains… but I have no choice now to begin switching over to CC. Really frustrating how much money I’ve dumped into your product and there’s been no support, no comms, nothing… just a void. Guess I’m picking up my pitchfork too, ugh.

hi @lemonsevens thank you for your bug report. There is a lot of activity in the forum so it takes time to reach all threads.

Yesterday there were outages from Anthropic, OpenAI and issues with Gemini, however most of those should be resolved already.

Is the issue with model failures still occurring? If yes could you post a Request ID, preferably with privacy disabled so Cursor Team can have a look into it.

There are separate threads on WSL and Terminal issues, each with their own different causes and solutions. Could you please check them out through forum search? I recall several of those have been addressed with improvements in an upcoming version of Cursor.

While some users are affected by the cases you mentioned its not a general issue that is always possible to reproduce, therefore details would help narrow it down.
