When switching from Agent Mode to “Ask Mode”, quite often it writes

tool edit_file not found. Try switching to Agent mode

I am on a Mac M1 Pro.
Version: 0.49.5 (Universal)
VSCode Version: 1.96.2

Same problem but it’s only happening in ‘gemini-2.5-pro-exp-03-25’ model.

Also happening in Sonnet 3.7 reasoning ask mode

It seems that the agent does not detect the mode selected and tries to use edit tool, its somewhat mislead the agent about the reasoning path it should follow and diverges its attention.
