- Detects line-start closing in the format `\n``` `
- ` ``` ` not at the start of a line is not considered a closing fence

Does this stop you from using Cursor?

Hey, thanks for the report. Looks like the chat isn’t rendering triple backticks inside a code fence as plain text.

Can you share a couple details:

  • The Request ID for this chat (top-right context menu > Copy Request ID)
  • Your Cursor version (Menu > About Cursor > Copy)
  • How you got this output: was it AI-generated, or did you paste the markdown manually?

That’ll help us understand the markdown parser edge case.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I’m not able to share the request ID. However, everything after the first line of my prompt (the line asking the model to repeat the output) was generated by the model, not written by myself.
