I have now 5 times installed Cursor, removed it and installed it again, with and without admin rights on Windows 11. No matter what I do the tutorial folders are empty, How do I resolve this? Is this a problem with the build?
I want to go through some of the online video Tutorials, but they rely on these examples.
Do you mean Cursor Tutor?
I found a repository with it in case it helps you:
To solve your problem, I think you need to completely uninstall Cursor, as explained here:
I have uninstalled from Windows 11 multiple times, ensuring no traces are left, including in the windows user app folder.
After installation there are three tutorial folders installed. They are all empty.
I am trying to follow online videos on YouTube which are clearly based on these tutorials. But can’t get these specific Tutorials working.
I encountered the same issue. Today, I downloaded Cursor for the first time on a Windows system and selected “Start from Scratch” during installation. However, after the installation was complete, the ~/.cursor-tutor
directory was empty, with no tutorial files.
Since I planned to follow some online tutorial resources, which rely on the files and examples located under ~/.cursor-tutor
, I wanted to use the 14-day trial period to evaluate whether it’s worth upgrading to the Pro version. But I hit a roadblock right at the beginning, which feels quite unfriendly for a new user.
I would like to know if there’s any other place to download the files that should be in ~/.cursor-tutor
. Thank you.
