Unable to login with Google OAuth on team account "there was an issue authenticating"

Thanks for reporting a bug you have found in Cursor!
Please add the following info to help us diagnose your issue:

:white_check_mark: Check the forum to ensure the issue hasn’t been reported already
:lady_beetle: Provide a clear description of the bug
I’m currently unable to log in to Cursor using the Google OAuth method with my work email address. The login gets redirected and fails with a “Unable to authenticate” message.

However, I can successfully log in using GitHub—but only when my personal email is the primary on the GitHub account. When I switch my work email to be the primary on GitHub, the login fails similarly to the Google OAuth method.

What I’ve Tried:

  • Retried login multiple times.
  • Cleared browser cache and cookies.
  • Tried on different browsers and devices.
  • Ensured third-party cookies are enabled.
  • Verified that the work email is active and functional.

Multiple people at my company are hitting the same problem.
