GitHub sign-in is broken on the website

Describe the Bug

I’ve tried with Chrome and Safari, but it’s not possible anymore to sign-in on the website. It loads the dashboard, sometimes it even shows the dashboard for a quick moment, before I see the sign-in screen again.

Steps to Reproduce

Sign in with github on https://authenticator.cursor.sh/

Operating System

MacOS

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Hey, thanks for the report. We had a similar issue in December, and it turned out to be a service incident on Cursor’s side.

Can you try:

• Open the browser console (F12 > Console tab) and share any errors you see when you try to log in
• Clear cookies for cursor.sh and authenticator.cursor.sh
• Try in Incognito mode with no extensions

If it happens in all cases, please send a screenshot of the console errors and I’ll check on the infrastructure side.

I’ve tried deleting all cookies and the incognito window, but the issue persists with the same errors in the console (see attached screen). I had to be fast, as the errors appeared only for a short time (while I could actually see my dashboard) before I got redirected back to the login page. It was just enough time to take a screenshot.

I have the same issue, even after clearing cookies it just boots me back to the sign in page.
