Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report.

A similar issue was discussed here: Stuck in login loop on Cursor app and website. The team found that some domains may get flagged by the system.

I see you’re on version 1.7.54. First, please update to the latest version (Help > Check for Updates, or download it from Download · Cursor).

If the issue still happens after updating, can you share:

  • Your email domain (the part after @)?
  • A screenshot of your browser console during the login attempt (F12 > Console > try logging in > screenshot any errors)?
  • Whether you’re using a VPN, firewall, or antivirus?

This will help the team check your case.

Hi,
I updated it to latest version & still facing the same issue.

Version: 2.3.21
VSCode Version: 1.105.1
Commit: 68e0a0385b87408d050869ea543e3778ad53f780

Node.js: 22.20.0
V8: 13.8.258.32-electron.0
OS: Darwin arm64 24.6.0

Your email domain (the part after @) → simpplr.com

Whether you’re using a VPN, firewall, or antivirus? → yes Zscaler VPN but that shouldnt effect because this is used across domain & even after turning it off i am facing same issue. I guess I am the only one in the org facing this issue.

A screenshot of your browser console during the login attempt (F12 > Console > try logging in > screenshot any errors)? → attached

Thanks for the info. I can see a screenshot showing CSP errors in your browser console.

This looks like the same issue discussed here: Stuck in login loop on Cursor app and website. The system may be flagging certain domains. I’ve shared this with the team so they can check the @simpplr.com domain.

I’ll let you know as soon as the team gets back to me.

Thanks @deanrie , however everyone else in the same domain are using and even I was able to use till last week. I have got my new laptop & I started facing this issue from yesterday only on this new laptop.
Please check this ASAP.

Thanks for the info. To help diagnose the issue, please try:

  1. Sign in to https://cursor.com directly in your browser (not through the IDE). Can you sign in successfully?
  2. Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari). Does it make any difference?

The team checked the logs and didn’t find anything for your domain, so it’s important to confirm whether this is related to the IDE or the browser side.

Also, please try temporarily disabling all browser extensions when you attempt to sign in.

Let us know the results of these checks.

Hi @deanrie ,
I tried signing in as you suggested in different browsers, issue still remains. I do not have any extensions as of now.

any update @deanrie ?

Same issue here.

In Safari, I was able to log in to the cursor forum by clicking and holding the refresh button and selecting ‘Reload Reducing Other Privacy Protections’.

same problem here

This looks like an SSO setup issue on your team’s side. WorkOS is returning the error “The SAML Response did not contain expected attributes”, which means your identity provider is missing some required SAML attributes for your account.

Other users on your team can log in fine, so the issue is specific to your user.

What to do:

  1. Reach out to your team admin. You can find them at https://cursor.com/dashboard?tab=members
  2. Ask them to check the SAML attributes for your user in the identity provider (Okta, Azure AD, etc.)
  3. If that doesn’t help, email [email protected] directly since this is an Enterprise plan and needs individual support

Unfortunately, we can’t help more via the forum since this requires access to your SSO configuration.

@Lucas_Minchillo @ksald-CZ if you’re on an Enterprise plan with SSO, it’s the same situation. If you’re on a regular account, email [email protected] with a description of the issue and your domain.
